A few things...
I made my reservations for New York yesterday...I leave Thursday, June 22nd and I come back Sunday, June 25th. You have no idea how excited I am. I already planned my mass transit route from the airport to the hotel. Eee!
(By the way, it's for Socialism 2006, a kickass conference that gathers socialists from all over the world to listen to talks, get to know each other, and party like crazy. Fuck yeah. http://www.socialismconference.org/ )
I'm moving into my friend Andrew's place this summer. He's going back to Houston, I'm staying here to work and take three classes. Alex and I will be housemates. I'm looking forward to it.
Summer classes I'm taking, by the way: Cultural Anthropology, Latin American Politics, and News Media as a Political Institution. To the max.
I'm buying a new computer desk. It's steel and glass. Very functional and industrial. Bauhaus in the house.
A final note. When people say "Oh I'm sorry to hear that," I really hope they don't mean that. I hope they mean "I'm sorry that happened." Because the last thing I would want is to pollute someone's ears with something they just couldn't bear hearing. Forgive me.
