I recently read an article on the books used through the series of LOST, and though the summer may be more than half over, I'm telling myself that I will *try* to read these before year's end. Plus, I could use an excuse to broaden my reading horizons beyond vampire/werewolf smut...
And the list is as follows:
- Lancelot, by Walker Percy
- Lord of the Flies, by Williams Golding
- Alice's Adventures in Wonderland / Through The Looking Glass, by Lewis Carrol-l (I own it, and actually read it a long, long time ago, but would love to read it again)
- The Third Policeman, by Flann O'Brien
- An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge, by Ambrose Bierce
- The Stand, by Stephen King
- Carrie, by Stephen King
- On Writing, by Stephen King
- The Chronicles of Narnia, by C.S. Lewis
- Miracles, by C.S. Lewis
- The Great Divorce, by C.S. Lewis
- The Pilgrim's Regress, by C.S. Lewis
- The Dark Tower, by C.S. Lewis
- A Wrinkle in Time, by Madeleine L'Engle (I had to read this in 5th grade but never really did. Maybe now that I'm older and actually want to read it, I'll get something out of it....)
- Watership Down, by Richard Adams
- Valis, by Philip K. Dick
- Solaris, by Stanislaw Lem
- Ulysses, by James Joyce (I actually bought this book after I saw the episode it was referenced in. Still need to read it, though...)
- A Separate Reality, by Carlos Castaneda
- Fear and Trembling, by Soren Kierkegaard
- Haroun and the Sea of Stories, by Salman Rushdie
- Notes from the Underground, by Fyodor Dostoyevsky
