Daddy. My Daddy.

"Hi Daddy. How are you today?" She whispers silently to the man in front of her. Her eyes never looking away from him. "I love you a lot, you know that right?"

She sits in a childish form of indian style, her hands in her lap, while wearing butterfly wings that match with her princess outfit she just had to wear that day. "Like a princess remember? This is the costume you bought for me last halloween." With a nod of her head, she hears his reply and she instantly smiles. "I did real good in school today. The teacher really liked my picture I made for her. It was of you and me and mommy. I drew us at the beach and you had sand on your hair. It made her smile. Oh, guess what? I'm going to be turning 7 in two weeks. I'm going to have a slumber party with Millie and Jaimie. I promise I won't stay up late." She shifts her weight a bit to sit on her knees and let one hand steady herself. "Mommy made your favorite dessert yesterday, when are you going to come back home? I miss you."

With another nod, she grins again hearing his reply. "Well, daddy. I gotta go. Mommy needs to get home... I love you daddy!" Reaching upon her head, the crown she wore now lay on the ground in front of the gravestone with her fathers name, and the picture that is made into the granite stone with him in his best attire - a military uniform. A huge smile appears on her face as she simply replies, "I will remember!"
