warning rant ahead...
I may have mentioned that my French tutor was "let-go" (I think that's the PC way to put it). I'm actually really pissed about this - on a personal level, I like him and he didn't deserve to let-go based on inter-office politics. I'm even more angry at the school for letting this happen, and for not finding a replacement tutor. Not that any tutor would be as good as J.
Yes, there is a new "tutor" working in the center. He's from France - that's what the center told me about him, "well he is from France." Well you know what, blow me. I know plenty of people that speak english and CANNOT teach english. you know grammar... that thing most people ignore, because you just know why something is right in the language. So I'm writing a letter on the old tutor's behalf and I've stopped going to the new tutor. Why waste an hour when he simply cannot explain things. I'm sorry but answering my questions with "that's just how it is in French" doesn't cut it. The French love grammar, they have rules for everything. So on top of paying to take the class, I'm paying a private tutor (yeah J the guy I like anyway). It might get a little tight money-wise, but god-damn it I want to learn French. If I don't get the foundation now, I never will. /rant
On a less ranty note... I'm still on a dork-fest high after Albuquerque. Damn I love that conference
