Honey Bun died
Well, he didn't make it. He was the cutest thing this side of heaven I have ever laid my eyes on. Those big brown eyes, those eyelashes, the sweet little curious nose and mouth. He loved to cuddle up in the palm of my hand and give me kisses after his feedings.
I am so heart broken. He lived in my care for 10 days total. He was doing so well. 😢
Cottontail rabbits are especially dear to my heart. There is so much about them that I just adore, their sweetness especially. I love their gentle and relaxing nature. I was sooo hopeful that I could give this little guy a fighting chance to survive, but God had other plans.
He was trying to nibble my shirt and so I offered him a bite of clover, sadly he died of diarrhea that night. It was past time for him to start eating greens, and so I gave him one little clover leaf and followed up with his rabbit formula. That night he lost all his weight and died. He refused his formula.
I have nothing else to say but that I gave my cats an extra big hug and cried for about a week. I'm still depressed.
Life and death can be hard to cope with sometimes.
