OH GOD I know what you mean. And that Portugal/England is still eating my mind, but I was so lazy all weekend *sobs*.

I loved the idea of Portugal before, but I'm so in love with him now, I don't even know kfdlajf. He just keeps getting deeper and deeper and better and better. And I'm loving his sensuality. It's very . . . he approaches it in a very unique, very him sort of way, sort of proud and sort of practical but sensual all the same.

*nods* That makes a ton of sense! No wonder he wore it long and pierced his ears, ahaha. Honestly, though, his quest for individuality in these was perfect, and made me ache for him. It makes so much sense, especially with his identity as a Catholic but his fooling around with all these non-Catholics. OH MY GOD I LOVED IT. Just. Yes. I STILL KIND OF LOVED HIM THOUGH. Honestly, he was exactly how I'd imagined him, and young Portugal was just so sweet and . . . strong, and just. Guh. I definitely do! And this was exactly how I pictured it, honestly. And this:

Love did not even factor into the equation. Yet it lingered there, in the back of his mind, and so he closed his eyes and crushed it.

Just, oh, Portugal. So perfect. Man. Oh, Portugal.

I've never written Turkey, either--and I'm a bit scared to try--but I think he came out great! It was EPIC. YES OKAY. The order actually really worked! Yes, exactly. A little jaded, a little bitter, but independent and proud and still undeniably him.

This just really struck me, too:

Lusitania blushed, stammered, and rushed off to find his brother. Perhaps not poison he thought, but he was unused to the dedication, the devotion. The way such a name gave him an identity, not just as a fledging nation, but as an individual and a representative of his people. It left a knot in his stomach.

He wondered how long it would last this time.

You can really see as Portugal's pride and independence develops, and I love that so much, I can't even fdjfaklka. I love how strong he is, despite being so emotionally vulnerable, how he's very much himself no matter how much he'd like to connect with others.

"Gabriel," he corrected, because he was no longer going to carry that name that bastard had given him. He was governed by no Moor or their kingdom.

"Arthur Kirkland," the Englishman introduced himself in turn, and he had a very crisp way of going about things he thought, raising an eyebrow. "I heard from your bishop that you were conducting a siege against your Islamic oppressors."

Lusitania gave him a once-over. He didn't fail to notice the stranger's cheeks colour as he did so. "Got lost on your way to the Holy Land?" he quipped, causing the man, no boy, in front of him to splutter.

"Look if you don't want our bleedin' services just say the word. I've got two hundred ships full of lads looking for a fight and the storm is preventing us from making headway to Jersualem, but if you're going to be a wanker about it - "

YES JUST YES OH MY GOD. And I love, just LOVE, how formal and serious England sounds at first, and then as he starts to bluster the "bleedin' wanker" comes out, oh, England. And PORTUGAL oh, wow, I loved that line so much, you snarky thing, you.

"Thank you," Lusitania said, cutting him off. He smiled. "I suppose God does want me to win back my homeland after all. I would be glad to accept your aid, Inglaterra." The Englishman turned, if possible, even redder. He seemed like the easily excitable type.

"Y-Yes well, that's..." he floundered. "Think nothing of it, ah - "

Lusitania's smiled broadened. "Portugal," he said proudly. "That is my kingdom. You may call me that if you wish."

England's tsundere is a thing of wonder to behold. Oh, man, I love the way you wrote him, here. Wrote both of them. AND JUST PORTUGAL OH ♥.

I'm so glad, haha.

I finally got to work on chapter 2 of 'Bring Me the Horizon' to start the momentum going again. Now I just have to work on that. XD ;alskdlk I still want to see it, whenever it gets written. ;D

I know, oh goodness. He's getting so deep and I'm wondering if I'm taking it too far but at the same time it's brilliant, because that's it exactly - he's proud and practical but there's just something about his actions that makes it come out sexual without meaning to. XD

I've seen some Spain/Romano doujinshi where Spain had his left ear pierced though, so I'm not too sure. MAYBE THEY BOTH DID IT. It was the age of pirates, I bet England had some in the old days too haha. But the long pretty hair is all Portugal. :D It's harder for Portugal, because he and Spain actually WERE one nation, whereas a lot of other nations are just next to each other enough to call each other siblings. And lol the fooling around with non-Catholics, oh Portugal. |D I want to draw Al-Andalus so much now ffff. He was so badass and Port as a child both admired and hated him.

My heart cried out a bit when he crushed those feelings of love. ;; Oh Portugal, why was your love life before England so cruel? D:

Turkey is so epic himself. I went through a crash-course of Turkey-fics to get a grip on his character but I'm still learning lol. IT'S FUNNY HOW THE ORDER WORKED BUT MAYBE I'LL ACTUALLY TRY DOING IT IN AN ORDER NEXT TIME. XDDD

;alskd young blushy Portugal is so precious. I imagined him around 10 or something if I had to go with age, and he's got such a complex with independence, bless him. He was emotionally stunted for awhile, seeing as they were conquered so many times. He tried not to get attached. ;;

Ahahahaha YES. OH ENGLAND. Can you tell he was totally trying to impress from the get go? Thought he'd be the knight in shining armor coming to save this new nation as a pitstop before heading off to the Holy Land. And Portugal just puts him in his place and it's just...;asdkld;k they're so adorable. |D He showed his true nature so quickly, they're such TEENAGERS. ♥

I can't write without England's tsundere somehow making an appearance. I think the boycrushing begins here, even if he doesn't realize it just yet. PORTUGAL WHY SO AWESOME. ffff so many scenarios I want to fill in with them, but I'll save it for the next five prompts. X)

NOW I WANT TO DO A SERIES OF PROMPTS WITH THEM TOO, CURSE YOU. But I think I'll stick to the ideas I already have. I was going to do a series of short fic about the Napoleonic War, though, and the Lisbon Earthquake just because I like hurt/comfort too much wanted to get warmed up with that time period with them.

OH WOW. *excited* I still haven't given you your wall of text! I'LL DO IT SOON. I'll do my best to get it written soon for you. Because even if it's tricky it's so much fun. But the more you write about Portugal, the more inspired I get.

Oh, man, I'm just so addicted to him now. I love his depth--and, I mean, if you're going to do an original character, do it right, yeah? Especially in Hetalia. Oh, man, yes, that's really it--and so much of his character comes out the way he carries himself in that, too.

Ahahaha, true! And then Port had to get them pierced a few more times because he wanted to be different and it was his idea first STUPID COPYCAT LITTLE BROTHER. Oh, man, England with pierced ears--the image is too much for me. *falls over* Aww. So pretty and curly and pretty. I can just see him as a kid going--I'm not cutting it anymore! Not like Spain! :( I can only imagine! It's true, too. No wonder he's so protective of his . . . identity, basically. Such a rebel, that boy! WHY DON'T YOU DO IT THEN. I would just die of the awesome. Man, I can only imagine. Poor Port, so torn and admiring and uncertain of what he wants.

I do that too! Turkey is so cool, but he seems to hard to write. GO FOR IT I SAY. XD XD XD

Oh, man, he is. So sweet and embarrassed and just . . . so vulnerable and yet he's always tried to be tough and not show it, hasn't he? Be strong and . . . himself. He's just . . . he tries so hard, and yet he really wants to care for someone, doesn't he? So torn. He approaches it differently, and goodness their dispositions are different, but he reminds me of England, a bit, that wanting to care but not letting himself. NO WONDER THEY GOT TOGETHER. Oh, Portugal.

JUST YES. OH ENGLAND INDEED. I could totally tell, just, oh, wow, England. The knight in shining armor literally, England, you adorable dork you. And Portugal just does, so clever and proud and snarky, and just . . . no wonder England got a crush, so self-assured despite his situation and so able to talk back and prove himself more than an equal, but not mean. Ahahahahaha, he really did. They so, so are, and I adore it. ♥

Oh, man, me neither! I can totally see it. He probably doesn't even know what it is he's feeling, and isn't willing to admit it, either. But SO MUCH YES. Oh, man. I'm so excited. *flails* *dies*

THEY'RE SHORT AND FUN AND DON'T REQUIRE TOO MUCH THOUGHT. XD I think the Napoleonic War is only capable of being written in short fic because there was just too much going on and it was all epic. D: But ;alsk Lisbon Earthquake I love hurt/comfort too fff that would be awesome.

hahaha it's fine if you don't manage to do it before then. XD Though granted I'm slower at writing non-prompt fics. |D I'm inspiring myself the more I write about him. I want to write him and America sitting on a beach in the Azores drinking wine lol.

This is true! Only thing is that everyone has their own versions so sometimes that clashes a little, but overall I think it's not too bad. XD

OH PORT, WHEN WILL YOU LEARN. LITTLE BROTHERS DO THAT BECAUSE THEY ADMIRE YOU. XD England with pierced ears would be hot, which would explain why Port developed such UST around him lol. fff he probably had these adorable ringlets as a child. X) And then his hair just became a mess because he didn't want to look like Spain and Al-Andalus had to teach him how to tie it back in one of his rare daddy-moments. |D THEY WERE ALL REBELS BACK THEN. haha I'll give it a shot! XD

I think it's just the way Turkey talks really. It's so hard to grasp ffff. XD

He had to be tough because he was older and Spain was thick-headed and needed looking after. XD After that it just got worse. Yeah in a sense he was really looking for 'the one' and then he found England and he thought everything was great until the Ultimatum, which is why it hurt as much as it did. :< He is a little bit like England haha, not quite deredere~ but certainly just as stubborn. XD THEY WERE OBVS MADE FOR EACH OTHER.

America needs to learn that the Old World's version of a hero was a KNIGHT, AND THAT'S WHAT ENGLAND WAS ASPIRING TO BE. He loved to sparkle that guy, fff so cute and dorky. Aaaah. Portugal was so amused by him. haha he knows how to talk up a storm and act like nothing's wrong even when the odds are against him. OH ENGLAND PORTUGAL WOULD NEVER BE MEAN TO YOU. It'd be like kicking a puppy. |D

Love at first sight? PERHAPS. But he wouldn't let himself believe it after France crushed his tsundere heart. It's so easy writing for prompts, I swear. /does more XD

THAT'S TRUE--ARE YOU TEMPTING ME, GAAAAH. *is tempted* You may have a point there. I really want to do a longer one focusing on England coming to Portugal's aid, though, and the fight in the Peninsula. But yeah, seriously! So epic and so confusing XD. But oh, man, I know, right? I really have to figure out how badly Port would be . . . showing the effects, you know? To write it. Oh, poor, poor Port. Oh, man, I can just imagine it, and England freaking out that whole time and trying not to because ahahaha, of course he knows that Portugal will be fine, Portugal's strong; he wasn't worried, and finally him just . . . holding Portugal a bit, who's been touchily protesting that he's fine and doesn't need to be coddled, but lets him, because he needed that oh man I really want to. IT'S DECIDED. I have those two US/UK fics I'm working on--and that fill for the kink meme--but THIS WEEK IS HEREBY DEDICATED TO PORTUGAL FIC FOR ME.

fjkaljdflajal I'll do it daaaaaamn ittttt. *nods* Oh, man, it's a cycle of inspiration now. XD I'd be so happy if you did that America's proud of his California wines, dang it XD.

Well, that's true! But in some ways I think it helps make the characters deeper, just a bit, you know? Seeing the other perspectives. Even on the canon characters.

I can only imagine how cool Spain must have thought he was when they were younger! IT'S TRUE. There are many reasons, ahahaha. I can just see Portugal going . . . I thought he was cute at first but now he's ahhhhh, oh, Inglaterra . . . . Oh, man, I can only imagine! Aah, so cute! Oh, man, yes. That's exactly how it was. AHAHAHA THEY WERE, WEREN'T THEY? Ahaha, you don't have to, but I'd just love to see it.

Seriously. Just . . . seriously. Fffff indeed. XD

Yeah, exactly! I'm sure that was his justification completely. Oh, man, yeah, seriously. Man, he really was, wasn't he? ;___; Oh, man. I can just see him thinking, sort of sadly and resignedly . . . I guess they do always leave, after all. If I don't let them use me they always leave. Or something. Oh, poor Portugal. Just a little bit--far less tsundere, for sure, but yes.

Yes, yes, he DOES. I'm sure England's stories of knightly heroics are what kicked off his hero complex, to some degree. Well, he was probably making up for his shortness a bit. Yesss, seriously. They're such cute teenagers, so adolescent, just wow. He does! He's got that exterior down pat. I KNOW~! But you know he was just so unused to being teased or poked at without it having that hurting sting, and Portugal made him blush and stammer but it didn't . . . hurt, and England would be all O_O about it. Oh, man, it would, though.

PERHAPS SO. Or at least massive boycrush at first sight? But yeah, oh, man. He just couldn't; he was just so afraid of being hurt.

Ooooooh. Moooooore. :D

I'M NOT MEANING TO BUT IF IT'S WORKING~ >D The fight in the Peninsula would be so epic, especially since Spain betrayed Portugal to France and then France betrayed Spain. I find that lulzy personally. |D I always imagined him to have burns and scrapes all over his body, like he just pulled himself out of the rubble of a collapsed building. D: Oh Port. I can see Portugal asking him if it would be too much trouble to get him a cup of tea, he's feeling a bit parched. And England would just be ;alsdk because Port is so FRUSTRATING in a crisis. So much hugs after that though haha. A;SLKD OH WOW A WHOLE WEEK OF WRITING PORTUGAL FIC. THAT'S SO AMAZING AAAH.

lol okaaaaay. XD It is, a neverending cycle of win. Ahaha I can so see them getting into a teasing argument over it. Cali wines vs Port wines. Sitting on an abandoned beach because its private air space and talking about England haha.

I think so too! Though I find everyone always TALKS about Port, but no one takes the initiative to do anything with him. Even with canon characters sometimes. |D

Hahaha yes and now Spain's all 'Bros before hos, man!' so you know, he still loves his brother. Just has a very Spain-way of showing it. fff oh Port I imagine him making the transition from adorable to SEXY with England was huge. And mind-numbing. And Port felt special because Al-Andalus was spending time with him and not Spain. FFF. How things change. XD

Bawww Portugal. ;A; But that's so true, it probably feels like he can't hold on to anything or anyone at all. The moment he stops being useful they dump him. But he won't break off the alliance himself because he (very seekritly) always liked being needed like that. For something. ;;

hahaha yes he probably told little America all these great stories about knights (himself), princesses (Portugal) and dragons (Spain and/or France) and America was utterly inspired to be a hero like England after that. XDDD Just a tad. I think he had a bit of an island-complex lol. Portugal just had a way with words, he could be deliberately cruel, but he does it in such a vague way you're left wondering if you should take offence or not. Just like Spain's always smiling and laughing in the comics even when he's angry. |D; And Portugal would flatter him and England would be all 'what is this feeling? ohshi - '

YES, MASSIVE BOYCRUSH AT FIRST SIGHT. And it just all went down from there. Best accidental meeting ever. 8D

UH OH I'M IN TROUBLE NOW. Oh, man, it just . . . really would. And, um, yes. France, you bad boy. Spain, you too. Oh, man, that makes complete sense! Oh, god, Portugal. Oh, man, he would. He's such a snarky little bastard when you push him. And England would be so . . . flail. But yeah! OH MAN I'LL DO MY BEST.

That is the truth XD. Ahahaha, that was what I was thinking, lol. And just . . . . oh, man, yes. I want that so badly now.

It's really true. UM. *GOES OFF TO WRITE FIC NOW GOING TO DO MY PART*

It's true XD. Oh, Spain. Those two. Oh man! I imagine it was. And just a little bit scary. Not that he'd admit that or anything. Oh, man, yeah. But that . . . makes complete sense. XD Oh, Portugal.

Oh, man, it's such a vicious cycle, and he always ends up getting hurt by it in the end. It's because he's too proud to show how sensitive and vulnerable he is, how much he really wants that love and affection, and wants to be needed. It leads to him being . . . used, so no wonder he's so sensitive over it. Aw, man.

OH MAN. The image of stories set up like that just . . . blows my mind. PRINCESS PORTUGAL OH WOW. England would. Oh, England. And just! Oh, man. And he definitely has an island complex, lol. Well, yes, definitely! But I feel like he doesn't often turn his tongue on England--not as biting as it can be at his worst. Which is why it's so startling for En"land when he gets hurt finally, and does. *nods!* Oh, man, it's so true. What--someone flattering me--and meaning it--oh, god, ohgod--"

YES THAT'S COMPLETELY IT. Oh, man, totally.

IT'S POINTLESS TO RESIST. France-niichan must have wanted that Iberian threesome really badly. Port probably gave Spain a thorough beating after that for being too trusting. XD He likes having his little joke, that Portugal. At the expense of England's last shred of sanity but ah well. XD I'M SURE YOU'LL BE SIMPLY AMAZING.

I'm so writing that in as one of my prompts so you'll see it don't worry. ;D

*FFF YOU WRITE AWESOME FIC I KNOW THIS WILL BE GREAT*

I think it's BECAUSE Port is so proud that he creates a distance between himself and his loved ones. He gives his own love quite freely but he's not quite so open when it comes to getting it back. And he'd never say it out loud if he could help it. Granted eventually he'll look back on it as another one of England's stupid mistakes, but it would always be their biggest fight and he'd never want to relive it.

AND SO THE GALLANT KNIGHT SAVED THE BEAUTIFUL PRINCESS FROM THE TOMATO MONSTER AND HIS DIRTY, BADTOUCHING FRENCH ACCOMPLICE. I wonder what they'd all think if they ever heard England's fairytales lol. America probably thought they were the best thing ever. I think Portugal has quite a bit of a sharp tongue in general, but around England he becomes all honey and molasses, so when he finally does go poisonous on him he wouldn't know how to handle it. haha oh England. And a complete stranger at that! D: What can this meeeeean?

Wow, excuse my crazy typos. I need to be more careful with my fingers. >_>;; And read over what I type.

That being said, IT OBVIOUSLY IS. Ahahahahaha, he must have. I'm sure Port was furious. (But he still felt protective of his little brother.) Oh, he certainly does. But then, England must be used to that by now. XD)

Oooooooh. So exciting.

Awwww, thank you! I'll try my best.

*nods* Oh, I definitely agree. It's an interesting dichotomy, there, but it's like--he doesn't want to show how vulnerable it makes him, how much he wants or even needs it. Gah, yeah, definitely. (But they just like each other too much to stay apart forever.)

TOMATO MONSTER FFFFFFF. JUST YES. OH WOW. Portugal would no doubt be consumed with laughter. I doubt France or Spain would be so pleased. I'm sure he did! And he thought, "I'm going to be a knight, too, and grow up and save England! Just see!" *nods* Yes, definitely. Sharp-tongued and teasing, but he's never been like that with England, so . . . yeah. Ahahaha, oh, England, indeed. (I'll give you a hint, it means he likes you . . . . )

haha don't worry about it. XD Sometimes I don't even SEE mine until someone's already replied. |D

Furious enough to attack Spain with a stick (aka Port's lulzy martial art) and be all "well isn't this lovely. We've got a crazy Frenchman closing in on us looking for booty. Merda, I hope you're happy with yourself, Antonio." (He's always been protective, he's just rather gruff about showing it and Spain's far too thick to notice lol) Yes, quite. It doesn't mean it gets any easier though haha.

In all honesty I think Port had already forgiven England more or less by the 50s, but his fascist regime was still going strong and he was still a little awkward around him. Shy really. That and I imagine him having a relationship with Turkey up until the late 70s orz. XD Which was originally to teach England a lesson but he eventually found Turkey to be snarky company and they became friends lol (Oh definitely. They'd have made up easily by 1986, as they should, because it'd be their 600th anniversary ;D)

THEM TOMATOES ARE KILLERS. SRSLY. Of course Port must never let on that he knows he's the princess. But I imagine America asking him anyway. XD The horrible stories must have partially been why they joined America in his revolution, just to get back at that English bastard. Portugal would have thought baby!America utterly precious I'm sure. Especially his hero dreams. He just sucked at raising kids himself. BD

Gah, yeah. Seriously. That's always the way. XD

I can just see it. (It's lulzy but he rocks it XD.) So pissy and "look what you've gotten us into now." Doesn't help that he still wasn't feeling too wonderful from the earthquake and all. Better, of course, but not quite his old self yet. (Yes, exactly! So older brother. And you're so special, Spain. XD) Oh, yes, for sure. Poor England, settled with two true loves who give him headaches. :P

*nods* That makes a ton of sense. WWII really changed things for almost everyone, anyway, and after two World Wars . . . but yeah. That would be humiliating, almost, the fascist thing, and I can just see him being so shy, but not admitting that, even to himself, of course. OH MAN I was thinking that too in my head. And he probably felt so much better having that friendship, too. Portugal, so charming and snarky, ahaha. (Yes! Yes, exactly. Awww. What an anniversary. ;D)

OH THEY ARE. POISONOUS LOVE APPLES AFTER ALL. What England. Just. Don't even. Of course he can't do that! But he's so amused all the same. XD They'd be like ENGLAND HAS COMPROMISED OUR DIGNITY FOR THE LAST TIME THAT BASTARD. Oh, man, I'm sure! Portugal sucked at raising his own colonies, but then, he strikes me as a charming funny uncle type XD. And he was the first neutral nation to acknowledge America!

While England gathers troops in the background and leaves them to it. (Because he loves watching Port beat Spain up XD) hahaha yes angry Portugal is just a whole lot of pissiness and bitch. That and he'd just had to ship his royal family off to Brazil and just...too much going on all at once. He's trying to cope. (He is, very special. XD) Trust England to have more than one true love. That's so like him.

Especially with how devastatingly hard it ended. I think they'd just be looking for some sense of normalcy after that. Then America had to go and start his Cold War and Port was like '...this is never going to end' so he gives up and lets his resentment go. Though America liked him because he hated commies too. |D H-He's not shy, he's just... feeling a little under the weather. God and right after they create the UN too, having to sit in such close proximity to England for the first of many world meetings. XD It was a relationship no one saw coming that's for sure. But they ended up pretty good for each other haha. And I totally drew them being snarky too. XD; (It'd be the most beautiful anniversary ever. ;w; The whole of Europe would celebrate it and tease them. And then America would go ...WHAT. YOU'RE MARRIED?! Because no one ever told him XDDD)

England was no Hans Christian Anderson or the Brothers Grimm but his stories were amusing all the same I'm sure. XD HAHA THAT'S SO EPIC. I think he was better at spoiling everyone else's kids than looking after his own. Though he shared India with England for awhile. I think of her as their joint daughter, like how France shares Canada with England. XDDD;

OH WOW, Turkey and Portugal~~~just wow. Oh, man, I love Port's snarky smirkyness, and that kiss!!!! Oh, Turkey. Lol. I honestly can't stop staring at this. It's amazing. Never stop drawing, seriously! OH WOW THE SNARK. Because UST-flirty snark is so the best kind XD.

Ahahaha, yes. (It makes him feel so smug and satisfied XD). I know I wouldn't want to be on Portugal's bad side, honestly. He's so smart. And snarky. But yeah, that poor guy--it was a tough time for him, and it was all his stupid brother's fault. Doing his best--and honestly the Portuguese kicked a lot of ass. (They all kind of are, aren't they? XD) It is rather like him. He can never make this things easy. On anybody. I think he loves them in very different ways, though.

Oh, god, yes. I really agree. Gah, yeah--but in a way that would be the healthy decision, you know? XD America probably liked him for that, yes. XD America tends to like people on his side :P. Aww, poor Port~ It must have been so embarrassing just to be embarrassed, and shy, sort of like the tables were turned from when they'd first met, though in a very different emotional situation. And just . . . gah, yeah. I can just see him being all nervous and being so FRUSTRATED at himself for being so nervous. YES YES YES. Well, in a way it's good for both of them to have a relationship like that. I don't know. A sense of competition, but in a balanced way, or something like that. AND I LOVE YOUR ART (sorry it took me so long to reply to it and say how much I liked it, I--I sort of lost track of the threads of our conversation this week. I've been so out of it. Blargh. (Oh, man, it would! And England would have to do damage control XDDDD. Poor America.)

They were the best stories in the world to America. I KNOW RIGHT? Me too! I definitely agree. I guess I've always thought of India as being the same age as the other nations, so I'd go more with . . . I don't know how that would work, but yeah. Because of the Indus Valley civilization and so forth. But yes XD.

candelaria September 19 2009, 02:50:46 UTC
Port always gets a lot more snarkier/smirky around Turkey I imagine; he just likes taking him down a few notches. |D I fail at drawing kisses so I feel it's always good to practice! XD hahaha I'll never stop drawing, NEVER. It goes hand in hand with my writing. IT'S TOTALLY THE BEST KIND. XD I can see Port having troubles of his own with this while England is UST-ing with America. It's like an open relationship only...not. They're weird like that lol.

His bad side equates going all Empire on everyone's arses. He was never a Conquistador like his brother, but they have the same word in both languages so I think he's pretty capable of conquering lol. They so did, and you'd never expect it looking at them now. They're so mellow. XD Not even easy for himself. But I will agree on the loving them very differently, though it doesn't mean he loves one more than the other.

I suppose he didn't want to end up like Russia, or Germany under the Nazis. I mean it was bad from what I hear from Portuguese people, and Port probably had a few breakdowns of his own, but I think he got through the other side in mostly one piece. XD hahaha oh America, so biased. YES ahahaha the turning of the tables, he'd be all head in his hands and going 'aaaaaah' and England is tsundere so he wouldn't stop him. /FAIL I think it was healthy to have a relationship that didn't have TOO much bad blood between them, unless you psycho-analyse Turkey as being post-Al-Andalus, which Port did a lot at first haha. It's funny how it all balances out, though Port would never ever take off the rings/gifts England's given him over the years lol THANK YOU BB, I LOVE DRAWING IT. VISUALS ARE SO MUCH BETTER. (it's totally fine, I lose track sometimes too myself sob orz) (Oh America, he'd try to sabotage everything and England would be like no you git, it's taken me this long to patch things up with Port don't bloody ruin it! XDDD And Portugal would be all ahahaha how cute, Inglaterra.)

The way I see India is like... there was a Mother India, the way there was Mama Greece and Egypt before other nations came in and completely changed their civilizations. So after Port and England and everyone else set up colonies there and brought European tradition over, Mother India died, and their little girl India took her place. XDDD Because all nations had mothers in my mind. ;)

I can see that, too, yes XD. Turkey's so arrogant, he just can't help himself. Drawing kisses seems like it would be hard--the perspective . . . deal. I'M GLAD TO HEAR THAT. Man, I wish I could draw, but . . . no such luck. *so impressed* I can only write, haha. YES YES IT IS. Yeah, I can really see that! I feel like it basically is an open relationship, only they're still . . . way attached, you know? Oh, boys.

Ahahahahaha, yes. He wasn't a conquistador because he's better at charming people/reading the atmosphere, maybe, but the possibility was always there XD. Hidden asskickery XD. Well, they just want to enjoy life now XD. Hardest on himself, I think! Well, yes. Both kinds of love are equally strong and valid--there's room for that sort of thing. You know?

@_@ What he had was already bad enough. I'm sure he was hanging on, though, determined to make it through. Oh, America. :P Yeah, the situation would go on for longer, because Port was always the one who broke through the tsundere before, and now he's too aaaaaaah to try. It's almost like all the bad blood was right on the surface, so they got that out of the way and could like each other underneath. Very honest and out there, you know? Which was good for him. Aww, Port. That's just . . . so loyal and sentimental and b'awwww. I SERIOUSLY ADORE YOUR ART SO MUCH I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH MYSELF. (I've been so out of it; I don't even know. I'm still puttering along on those Portugal fics, though) (Awwww, it's true. Though I think America would more be just flailing around and sabotaging things by accident. Even if he made what he considered a Cunning Plan to win England's love, it would amount to flailing at them both--because that's America for you. Awwww. It is cute. And Port, you have it so bad, dear. XD)

That makes complete sense! Because the Indus Valley civilization went away, it wasn't a continuous thing like it was with China, which is why China's still the same person but India wouldn't be. Yeah! XD

The Ottoman Empire was badass, I think he couldn't help it. XD ;alskd it is, and some people just do it as if it's nothing, I'm so jealous. Honestly, I'd rather be super awesome at writing or super awesome at art instead of being somewhere in-between orz. XD; BUT YOU WRITE SO WELL. Hahaha that's exactly what it is. They're attached at the hip. It's like how HRE loved Italy from the 900s, similarly Portugal loved England from the 1000s. XD

hahaha yes, he wasn't as gung-ho as Spain was, but they were cut from the same cloth after all, you never know! I think England's got a hell of a lot of love to give; he's just picky about who gets it. |D

lol oh yes, they totally got it out of the way. With their fists. And they're terribly honest with each other to the point of being almost offensive to a third party looking in. XD He's a romantic. He probably cries at weddings haha. XD I'LL DRAW MORE THEN. (I've had a lot of schoolwork lately so my fics are taking a backseat, but I'm trying to develop what exactly Port's relationship with Turkey is like. It's full of lulz.) (I still think he'd try to bring a SWAT team with him or something. Special Ops. XD Because his cunning plans are never discreet. |D Hahaha yes and he'd be all 'OBJECTION' while they're at the altar and flail and England would be so embarrassed and have to EXPLAIN. He does, doesn't he? He's so deredere for England.)

My god China, why so old. That must be so tough for him sometimes, he's so resilient. I'm not if he ever had a parent, or if he did it was eons ago. I bet everyone in Asia comes to him when they want to know stories about their predecessors. XD
