A second attempt at an entry

Miles aparated at his empty apartment with a worried frown on his face. He had just spent the last few years in Egypt researching the magic the ancient priests had used on their pyramids. He had found out a lot of nice nasty charms and enchantments and worked out most of the counter curses for them. He would have been happy to stay there for another 10 years, just digging through the dirt and dissecting aura's but he had got a stranger than usual letter from his friend Danny. It was written in a type of code which was no code at all. The letter itself was innocuous enough, but after all they had been through at school, Miles knew enough to read between the lines and know his friend could use some help.

He had hastily packed his stuff and now just through it on the sheet covered furniture and only gave a passing thought to wondering if the dust clouds were caused by dust that had been there before or if it was caused by the desert sand coming off his belongings. He hastily checked his security charms and found them all to still be intact. No one had entered his place since he had left. He relaxed only slightly as he gazed out the window of his apartment out on to the city below. I have to find Danny. he thought with urgency.

The sun was setting off in the distance and he decided that he didn't need a shower before he went out. The dirt combined with his impressive size should deter most common criminals and hopefully keep him off the radar of the more uncommon ones. He tried to figure out where he could find Danny and where to start his search when he remembered his parents. He hadn't been to their graves since before he had gone to school. A tinge of regret for neglecting them so long nagged at him and he decided to go there first. A brief stop to say hello to the people who hadn't got a chance to raise him. Then on to bar hopping. He couldn't be sure what one Danny may be at or even if he would be at one at all, but surely one of his old friends would be out and about.

Miles wished he knew more about what was going on but the letter Danny had sent held very little important information. Just the sense of urgency and desire for help had come through. Danny Miles thought as he gave one last look out the window before apparating, I'm coming friend, help is on the way.
