The law enforcement system exists for a reason - societal rules have been agreed upon, and a group of individuals has been entrusted to uphold the rules. Those who act outside of that system are exactly that - outside of the system. Allowing citizens to take the law into their own hands generally ends in disaster - they are untrained and ill-equipped and, frankly, often working with their own agendas.

Personally, I don't discount that citizens can provide valuable assistance in the fight against injustice, but it should be in cooperation with law enforcement, not independent of it. Forming some sort of citizen/police coalition might not be an entirely bad idea, but I think it would be wise to establish a thorough screening process, to begin with. We'd have to make sure everyone is on the same page and that there is a degree of accountability in place.

Well, as far as this Kamina character goes ... something's definitely fishy about him, especially when you consider the military's involvement. Some of his broadcasts have been quite incendiary in nature. Cooperation with the military seems like the smartest path to follow, in that respect.

Nothing else comes to mind at the moment, sir, but I'll definitely keep you posted if I think of anything else.

To be perfectly honest, I just wanna give that one a punch upside the head. I don't think he'd really cooperate, but it might be worth the effort. I'll talk to one of the commanders later.
