WINTER SOLDIER - let the ship wars begin
So yesterday at ComicCon, this happened:
And fandom collectively did this:
(For those who don't read Marvel comics, the Winter Soldier is Bucky Barnes, Captain America's BFF. He fell to his "death" in the comics and the Cap movie, but gets rescued by the Russians and turned into an assassin. Now he's back.)
And now as the dust settles, battle lines are being drawn on Tumblr. The Captain America/Iron Man shippers are facing off against the Cap/Bucky shippers, vs the Black Widow/Bucky shippers, vs the Black Widow/Hawkeye shippers.
(And just to make things worse, both Black Widow 'ships are comics canon, at different points in her career.)
There's already been name-calling and cursing and inflammatory gifs, and it's been less than 24 hours. They have two YEARS to duke this out before the movie opens.
This is going to be epic.
