(no subject)
I for one, being rather stupid and not exactly prone to bouts of caution, am not really overly annoyed by bleeding. The only time I can actually recall complaining about bleeding when I bled on a pair of pants I had bought the day before. That is, except for when I bleed from somewhere attached to my face.
Today, I bled a lot from my nose. It was really annoying. I wouldn't really care, except blood tastes like a battery and it keeps me from, y'know, breathing from my nose. I don't like that. Your mouth is for eating, not for breathing, and thus I feel I am quite correctly vexed by having to resort to such things. Also, if you're bleeding from, say, your arm, you can bandage it. If you're bleeding from even your head, you can bandage it. You can't really when it's the nose and mouth. You have to constantly blow your nose, or spit. I lost my chance at the PS2 yesterday because of that damn nosebleed.
Another reason it's annoying is because of the aftereffects. You don't have a battery taste in your mouth for hours afterwards if you cut your leg. That'd be silly. Also, your nose doesn't plug up if you lacerate your arm. But Christ, bleed from the nose and mouth, and you'll never get to sleep. You have to smell bad, metallic air, and generally be inconvenienced. I don't care for that at all. Just let me lose my blood and not be bothered anymore, I say.
In other, much happier news, I wanna say thanks to all the people who called me today. I don't know why people waking me up with a phone call cheered me up, but it did. A lot. I think that, after you lose so much blood, you really just need a friend to call and let you know that someone is thinking about you for whatever reason. And thanks to everyone who's online every night when I'm at work. Lord knows how I'd get through the night without people to aim my mental meanderings at. ^^
So, today I should finish most of my shopping for Christmas, which is good, but means little sleep, which would be bad, but my mom is selling her house for a new one and thus we have open house, which means little sleep anyways. *shrugs* I guess that sorta works, since I wasn't gonna be sleeping anyways. Also, I'm hoping to get all of House of M today, so wish me luck! *plans to make a full day of going to the bookstore*
