OMG. S0000 MuCh FuN. I just got back from my explorer program. Tonight, we had fire arms training. basiclly, we look at a screen and its like a movie. they take you through a situation and your holding a armed .45 cal. inside, the shots are little bullets that have a rubber cap on them and there loaded with air. anyway. you have to decide wheter to shoot the person or not. You have to make it seem like you actually are an officer in that situation. there is a guy behind you that controls what everything is being said. you talk to the screen like your talkin to the suspect. what you say and how you act affects the simulation. if the suspect pulls a gun on you, you have to shoot him but at the same time be careful becasue at the top of the screen, theres a small cannon, this cannon shoots ping-pong sized pellets guided by a laser guided by the person behind you. it trys to shoot you and the pellet comes out of the barrel at 73 MPH so my simulation was to talk to this drunk man in an alley. the guy stumbles when walkin and trys to talk to me. gun out and in hand and armed. i say to the screen things like " hey man, whats going on, you dont look well." he then, goes behind a dumpster. i put the gun up and yell at the screen " step out from behind the dumpster and put your hands up slowly!" he stops then comes out. I told the screen " let me see your hands." he then runs up a stairwell leading to a backdoor to somewhere and pulls a gun out of his waist. i get down, aim quickly, and yell " Drop the weapon!" he shoots at me, I fire back, bullet his the limb. he shoots again, (pellet comes close to hitting me) i shoot the screen again, this time hitting him in the arm, then shot again hitting him in the knee. he limped away, but i could not shoot him in the back becasue its aginst the law to shoot someone if there leaving the scene of a crime. so i loose.

but what was going through my headf while acting all of that out was amazing. i analized all the possiblitys before anything happened. so, i pulled the trigger without hesitation. everything ran through my head so quickly. my head enjoyed that. i enjoyed the action, intensity, and quick thinking that took. i took a lot of thinking to talk to the guy when your thinking stuff up right from the tippie top of your head, but to then get behind an object, and fire, and do all of this without begin shot. I call it talent for a first timer like myself. I loved doing that. Best part is, the dep. is head of the prizm training so him and I can go back and do it again sometime and try it without me having the whole explorer post watchin me. i was nervious. lol

Alright, thats that. i feel soo good after that. i dont know why. i think the prizm defines a police job. everything went through my head exactly how the deptutys said life as a cop would be. approching the situation, you really have no idea whats gonna happen. it put me into a state of scarryness, and fearing for you life. but, that was rather enjoyable to feel what its like to know that this situation could turn out to be a gun war between you and the guy, which could casue you your life in real life. i think I really put myself in the situation and actually made it seem like real life. would you have done the same thing, or would you guys have just never have done it in the first place? i know what i did, and it felt great to be in a situation like that. Untill next time
