Damn You, ISIS!

This was tacked onto one of the two ticket appeals I made (both received before classes started - thanks, band). Did I overstep my bounds, or do they not even read/care about these things?

As stated in a previous appeal, marching band begins prior to the start of school and, this summer, the camp ran until the day before the 23rd (the first official day of classes). Afternoon practices were held in the music building, and the band was told that while orange spots were now ticketing, student spots were available for parking. When I attempted to park in the Norman Hall Garage (Red 1 clearance), I was turned away and told only those who owned decals could park there - clearly contradictory to the previous allowances. The "guard" barring the path told me the only place I could park was in the commuter lot, which, although UF Parking has little personal concern for individual/multiple/any students, is not a logistically sound location. To make a 20+ minute trek (with instrument in tow) from the commuter lot to the music building in the midnoon heat when nearer parking is available, yet barricaded, is unfair by all accounts. Additionally, to have the issue of parking affect a student's grade (marching band class technically began for me on the 15th of August) puts the motives of the University into question. I am well aware that the University is a business, but to detract from my education seems diametrical to UF's aims.
