We returned from Nova Scotia today - I'll write all about that later. But for now:
One of the books I finished on the trip was the Illuminatus! Trilogy, something I regret not reading much, much earlier in my life (granted, I hand't heard of it until this past semester). Having previously read most of the Principia Discordia and some works by Aleister Crowley, I appreciated the trilogy even more. I guess I could say much of the book "hit the nail on the head" in regards to ideas I harbored, and offered further illumination.
Then, with a flash of misguided insight (it's all so fresh in my mind):
Donnie Darko - The mind of a teenager during his death-trip. Could Frank (5 letters) possibly be that "wascally wabbit" Yog Sothoth? He certainly possesses as well. He is the bringer of light, and appropriately eminates light in the film. "Light" is a counter to the "dark" (Darko, also 5 letters - equal and opposite). 28 days until the world ends? 23 + 5. Oh there's more, but I'm tired and slightly jet-lagged.
