For creative writing class, we had to write a short story. I thought it would be neat to write a story about a guy who decided that the world was flat and had to convince everybody that it was round, just because I presumed that just about everyone had figured out otherwise by now.
I mentioned this in passing to my dad, and he told me of the Flat Earth Society. It initially started in England (big suprise) and then moved its center of power to California (bigger suprise).
This one's just kind of fun. It appears to be the work of a bored college student.
http://www.alaska.net/%7Eclund/e_djublonskopf/Flatearthsociety.htm These guys are serious. Seriously. At least, they are serious about debating the flatness of the earth; I firmly doubt that all of the flat-earthers there genuinely believe in a flat earth but enjoy the debate.
