I think I want to buy one of these, but I'm not sure which one. I had also considered the prospect of looking into a nicer (as in, a better-made, $60-$150 watch that will last a good ten years, hopefully), but I don't think I'm up for that yet ( Read more... )

The first one definitely looks cooler; man, I gotta look and see if they make these in a mens version; I kinda need a watch, and I really like the "steampunk" feel of these...

Wow, thanks for the links. Those things look awesome (and the prices are great, too). Much better than getting a sports watch from Wal-Mart

That's what I figured. You'd probably have to be relatively careful with them, though-I'm guessing that they look more durable than they are, as they're imitating more expensive watches. Even so, my $6-$10 Wal-Mart watches last me a year, maximum, and these should last longer than that.

I'm a big fan of silver, myself. The first one looks cool, but I still like the look of the second one better - the first one screams a bit much for my tastes. That's just me, though.

That was my initial impression as well, but even in the pictures, the gold one looks less gaudy from a greater distance distance/other angles, and it is a bit more distinctive. I'm presently leaning in that direction, but I still do like the silver, too.
