Beware the Salmon
Within minutes after posting to my LiveJournal, I got an IM from a stranger.

Apparently, there's some sort of bot that looks for people have just updated their LiveJournals and sends them random IMs masked through some Salmon username. Just spreading the word.

The bot doesn't appear to be malicious in any way; it just randomly starts a conversation with another LJ poster. It's an interesting social experiment, I suppose.
