I think I decided that I want to get a Wii. Probably not right away; I might hold off for a year in hopes the price will go down a little, and I might even do homework and other college-like activities between now and then. But I think I want one

What's a Wii and what is Legend of Zelda?

The Wii is the new Nintendo game system that's going to be like a little remote control you wave around instead of a controller with a mini-joystick and whatnot. Although you look more ridiculous than usual when using it.

The Legend of Zelda is one of the most successful video games in the U.S. Not really sure what to say about it, except that it's a fantasy game and there are scores of them. It's kind of stereotypical RPG, but at the same time it usually has decent puzzles and occasionally has a semi-decent plot.

Not entirely sure what this has to do with anything, but one Wired article well says that When a cartoony Legend of Zelda game came out, many gamers refused to play it on the basis that it was an insufficiently gritty and realistic representation of a magical boy who collects hearts and gems. (And I might add that I greatly enjoyed the author bio on that article.) If that helps.
