Morse code is the only one-dimensional written language. Even though spoken language propagates just fine through one spatial dimension - or, converted to an electrical signal, through a one-dimensional wire. Hmm.
I would avoid using the word "language" and instead say something along the lines of "script" or something like that.
Are there any three-dimensional scripts? :)
The invented "language" Sol-Re-Sol, having words made up of only 8 elements, could not only be hummed/sung but could also be painted, using 8 colors for the 8 syllables.
(The inventor did also invent 8 scribbles that could be used for writing, but the interesting thing was that they were not written linearly, I believe, but simply were attached to each other, with the intention that the word could be written in an artistic way that extended into both dimensions on the page, not just linearly.)
