This holiday has lost its spirit.
whatever happened to creativity?
spending an hour putting a costume together?
That's part of the idea of Halloween,
the process of creating a separate identity
but kids these days...kids...bah...
they're all about the end result.
it's just over to the rite aid
and pick whichever nylon crap fits best.
no connection to their costume whatsoever.
they don't even decide themselves what they want to be
the store's selection decides for them.
all about convenience.
walked home today
all those globs of children
it was constant deja vu
an incredible,
a pirate,
some other superhero,
and a whorish looking preteen girl
one in each group,
each indistinguishable from the next.
this is one holiday that 'progress' had done no good.
a real pity
so disconnected from the things we consume.
but who am i to judge?
i do things no differently
