Are going pretty good. My first week at TDS has been very enjoyable. Lots of things to learn and get used to. I think I have a new place to be at for some time. I have about 5 weeks left before I become a full Customer Service Advisor. That's how much training and refinement we get put through. Which, I think is nice. I'll explain the low down on TDS here for you.
First, the environment is really nice and friendly; great people working there. Cubicles are shared with one other person, typically. But, there's plenty of space for both persons, so it's not claustrophobic or anything. Computers are not pieces of shit. They're quite new and have a nice LCD flat panel monitor to acompany it. Plenty of overhead room to store things. Internet access is permissible, as long as you don't do anything bad or use chat, blog, forums, illegal or unauthorized software, etc. E-mail use is company provided and serves as a nice tool for communicating between co-workers and managers. You can also receive announcements over it. It can also be used for personal contacts outside the company too. I also have a work phone line that can be used for the same reasons as e-mail.
As far as other things, coffee, tea, filtered water, hot chocolate, and other similar mixed drinks are provided free. Cans of soda are 25 cents each. They have a nice break room area on the first floor. But also a little one on the second floor where we are. The areas are secure by access cards. Even floor above 2nd can only be reached by using the card on the elevator. Benefits are nice. Medical, dental, vision, LTD and STD, 401k, pension plans, vacation, sick, and personal time. There's plenty of growth opportunities as well.
Well, that's that for work. Some games I've been playing lately: Parkan 2, Spaceforce Rogue Universe, and X3. Just had this odd thing for space stuff lately. I've also been playing good old Deus Ex again, as well. Really good game that stands the test of time.
I'm rather sad that my Arctacia Adventures module for Neverwinter Nights has been rather dead lately. People do download it steadily still. There are over 440 downloads thus far, but the same 4 votes and no more than that. Even people who said they would vote apparently have not, and it's a bit sad that, because of that, this module will simply not see any more action than what it is now. Why is it so hard just to push a few buttons? As a result, I have completely pushed the project aside. The 1.05 patch is left unfinished, the walkthrough for the entire series is equally laid to rest, and my desire to do the module in NWN 2 is just not there right now. Mostly from waiting for NWN 2 to mature more, and maybe even see what the first expansion will provide as far as content. I dunno what to do with it at this point, I just hate seeing efforts go to waste.
So, please, for the love of god, just vote for the fucking module if you've played it already. And if you haven't played the module and had some interest in doing so, what the hell are you waiting for?
