BETA READER SEARCH *clears throat, taps mike*

Uh, hi. This is awkward, so I'll just plunge right in. I'd love a critical beta to read over my WIP with an eye towards CLARITY and PLOT -- hopefully within the next five days or so. If that's not possible, then on your schedule would be more than fine. Anything would be fine.

The people reading this shameless plea are all lovely, wonderful, talented folk with busy lives (and fic hobbies) of their own, so I hope it's understood that I'm not expecting anything more than a read-through. Some of the transitions are giving me trouble -- wait. Let me back up. My brain started spewing forth this bizarre WIP out of left field while I was trying to finish my Holmestice fic and an unrelated fic. Its key features are: unreliable narrator, amnesia, first-person, epistolary, bucket-o-angst, casefic, AU crossover, and as yet no UST to speak of. No exposition is possible; I can't write anything that a deeply addled Sherlock wouldn't write himself. So I want to tell the reader how the pretty, pretty sky reflects the blue of John's eyes, which in turn match that delicious open jar of blueberry jam in his hand, and possibly imply that "blueberry jam" is a metaphor for "throbbing manhood," and meanwhile Sherlock is scrabbling toward the corpses like a Doberman on a dental floss lead. He's barely deigning to toss out a "We're in a parking lot somewhere" to orient the poor reader. Emotions? What are those? Not IC!

HALP.

Kidding about jam. Not kidding about Doberman.

Also: huge thanks to LB and RA for previous beta services. I don't want to burn you guys out, but if you're up for it, seriously start thinking about the kind of chocolate you want me to send you.

is this a casefic i see before me
