A cambion - half-incubus and half-human - he is blessed with deadly beauty, powers of seduction and immortal life, yet cursed with insatiable lust and mortal strength and agility, lesser than the other demons. A/N: Hello there, I'm really sorry about the late update. The past two weeks have been insane especially last week. 7 tests in a week? My school is insane ): But here you go, chapter 18B. Once again I changed my original plan... so the exciting part *cough*smut*cough* must wait ;)

If not for his extensive etiquette lessons when he was younger, Saga was certain that he would have spit out his drink, probably into Sirane's lap, too. He just swallowed his drink (not without difficulty, of course) and turned a bright red, burying his head into Tora's shoulder.
He was not quite sure that a prince was supposed to do that, but it was a far better alternative than spitting his drink into his lover's mother's lap. He heard Tora mumbling, "I did try to warn you, Saga..." as their mothers laughed freely.
"I didn't know this was what you meant," Saga hissed, sure that his face was still flushed in embarrassment.
"I didn't really expect it either," Tora whispered back apologetically.
Saga raised his head and glared at Tora balefully for a second, then sighed and looked back at their mothers. "Yeah. We... we haven't... um, had sex," he mumbled.
"My son, you are a prince. You ought to use more refined language," Aria scolded, though she looked very amused, herself.
Saga couldn't believe that his mother had a real sense of humour, and simply sighed and shook his head, finding Tora's fingers linked with his, offering warmth and comfort.
"Why not, though?" Sirane asked gently. "I can see the secrets of your past, but I am unable to see if they are reasons for your actions presently."
Saga's free hand toyed with the hem of his shirt. "I guess you can tell what happened between Reita and me. He tricked me, and our relationship was nothing but lies and... physical desire. Maybe I loved him. I do not know. I guess I was a little bit in love with Kanon for a while, too. But he had his own issues. I had mine. I don't want to ruin anything by having sex first," he said softly, looking down at his palm, where the faintest of scars remained.
The scar from Reita's curse still remained on his left hand, yet to fade. It did not hurt, nor was it visible to human eyes. In fact, he sometimes even forgot it was there. But if he looked really closely at his palm, he would remember everything, and it would hurt again.
Tora squeezed his hand gently, and he looked up gratefully at him, smiling. Tora was always so kind and understanding to him. He was different from everyone else.
"Then, may you find true happiness. Tora loves you with his whole being," Sirane said quietly, smiling.
Saga nodded, feeling his heart warm. He knew. "Thank you."
He turned to his mother, who was watching him silently, smiling slightly. She inclined her head and said, "I'm glad you can finally find your own happiness here. Saga... if you wish to come back to the Underground, at any time, do remember that you are always welcome. Perhaps now, you will find the Underground more welcoming than in the past."
Sirane gave a small sigh. "I almost miss the Underground... it had its own beauty. But not for Asmodeus. I fit in much better here in the human world."
Saga nodded at his mother's words, then after a moment, asked hesitantly, "Mother... who is my father?"
"Your father?" Aria murmured, looking a little sad. "Your father died shortly after I got pregnant with you. He had been killed by one of my incubus lovers, who was jealous that he got to father my child. I put him in jail, of course. Your father... he was a very handsome and kind man. I knew him only for a while, but he was a vibrant, interesting young man."
"Oh," Saga murmured. "I wish I knew him..."
"I am sorry you never got the chance to know your own father. He would have loved you very much, Saga," Aria said softly. "Perhaps you would have been better off then."
"I don't regret it now, though," Saga replied, and looked at Tora. "I mean... in the Underground was where I met Tora. For that, I am grateful."
Tora smiled at him, and held his hand more tightly. He looked truly content now, and Saga could not help but smile back at him. He kissed Tora's cheek and whispered, "Thank you, love."
Tora pressed a brief kiss to his lips, gentle and loving. Saga loved how Tora's lips felt on his, no matter how they kissed. Always, they felt right together, in a way that Saga had never experienced with others before. Looking at Tora, he knew that it was time to leave. They still had a night ahead of them.
"Mother, Queen Aria, we have to leave now. I'll see you soon, Mother," Tora said, smiling at the two ladies.
"Goodnight. And thank you for your hospitality, Sirane," Saga said, smiling as well.
Sirane and Aria exchanged knowing looks. "Of course. Goodnight, young ones," Aria said, patting Saga's shoulder.
"Thank you, Mother," Saga murmured, finally feeling at peace with his mother.
Perhaps, he thought, it would soon be time to finally truly attempt to make amends with his brother.
I apologise for the shortness of this chapter! I promise that Chapter 19 will be much longer ;) and I'll update twice tomorrow ^_^ The next two interludes, that is. Yes, two Shou x Hiroto interludes - Interlude 2 is the tale of the bidding XD And Interlude 3 will actually answer a question or two raised in the previous chapter ;) Look out for them!
