Hey, I got nudged, I suppose it's been a while since I've updated, no? :)
There has actually been quite a bit going on, though not all of it good.
You'd probably already heard how my employer is folding up a ton of its stores, including the one with the shop I work in. This was primarily from the shenanigans I mentioned in an entry a couple of posts back, blowing money on special "incentive programs", meanwhile jacking up your sticker prices whilst not paying your employees jack squat. I seriously made a pittance over there, I really only stayed because it was good work experience. I won't be sorry to leave at all. The universal truth stands: Retail is hell. Anyway, I let the staffing office I had worked with before know that I was available again, with some more experience and certs. under my belt to boot, and it looks like they may be lining some contract work up for me. Hopefully good things will open on that front.
My old faithful '96 Corsica finally kicked it, head gasket started to go. Lots more money to fix it than was worth it. So I got an '04 Chevy Malibu Maxx V6 with 34k miles on her. It's a goooood car, and I'm very happy with it so far.
Hmm, I think th only other big thing worth mentioning was the forumite meet I went to a few weeks ago over in Lansing. Didn't really do any special activities, but everyone there got along really well, and it was a fun time.
