How I did
Before I post my goals for 2008, let's take a look at how I did on my goals for last year:
- By the end of 2007, I will write a 50,000 word novel. I'll spend 2008 editing it. - Did not accomplish. I got about 12,000 words written. I will continue working on this goal in 2008, but I will revise it.
- I will write four songs. - Did not accomplish. Didn't put very much effort into this.
- I will complete the new source code for Dub Review and organize the staff and their responsibilities. - Did not accomplish. Got a lot of work done, though.
- I will see at least one Seattle Sounders game. - Didn't go.
- I will get a higher paying job. - Accomplished, and very happy about it.
- I will be more productive during my non-working hours. In other words, I will spend less time on the internet, watching DVDs and playing video games and more time improving my programming skills, following my creative pursuits, and having a social life. - Made progress, but still working on it. This one was hard to quantify.
- I will go hiking four times this year, at a different location each time. - I only went three times.
