What I am grateful for.
I've got a ton to be grateful for this year.
I've a new lab, one whose PI treats people like a family rather then like whipping boys.
I've a new car and new laptop, replacements that were many years in the making.
I've still got a job in a great, stable organization.
I've just had an awesome convention, which almost wipes away the awful memories of the last two.
But most of all, I am grateful for the friends that I have, from my inner Flock, to the artists that I know, to those that have a smile for me when I come to see them, even if our times together are rare.
It's the friends that I have that make my life worth living. No toy, no meal, no job. nothing else can ever replace them.
