So, It's Easter morning and the coolest part is that my Sister and my Nephews stayed over last night. The uncool part is why they stayed here instead of my mom's like usual. Yesterday my mom told my sister she was going to an anniversary party for "one hour" My sister called her all day. Finally once we were all settled in last night my mom finally

You don't need me to tell you that the situation is gross and I have my doubts that I'm the one who can give you any comfort you might be seeking. So instead I'll give my opinion on a related but not prime focus of this post.

I think it's best to be respected. And I think you gain respect by wisely choosing the honest thing to say in a timely manner and speaking it as gently and loving as it needs to be to get the truth across - which at times is not seemingly gentle.

I have always found you to be honest if directly questioned. And occasionally when not questioned at all ;) I think the guy at your work is probably not as well liked by others (or by himself) as he would appear - just because you say what you want doesn't make you a better person, but I can see how someone who restrains what they want to say could find themselves envying that ability.

I would be sad to learn that I was loved merely because I never said anything you don't want to hear. Being feared may not hurt as much, but I imagine it would be lonely. But respected, I can appreciate respected.
