I gotta get this off my chest.

This has bugged me since 1991. I didn`t like it then and I didn`t like it again when it happened more recently. I am talking of course about Batman Returns and Batman: The Dark Knight. What do these two movies have in common you may ask? I mean besides over the performances and other such tings whiney american critics like to throw out. As far as I am concerned the Batmobile is the coolest car on the planet (second only to Eleanor and the 1981 Delorean in Back to the Future, maybe the van on the A-Team and who doesn't love the General Lee, the Screaming Tomato, KITT and even Ecto 1?). I loved Adam West's 1966 model. I absolutely adored the 1989 Batmobile and I was practically drooling over "The Tumbler". The coolest part of Batman was his kick ass ride. So what did Batman Returns and The Dark Knight have in common the complete destruction of the Batmobile. The man is a Multi-Billionaire and he can't get his car fixed? I mean the way they treated the 1989 Batmobile was monsterous, first they turn it into an RC racer for the Penguin to destroy but then they remove those sleek lines and wavy fenders by simply "dropping" them. Blasphemy! And the Tumbler. The saddest part of The Dark Knight was the complete destruction of "The Tumbler". tear...sniff. Oh yes the Bat Pod was just as cool and I loved it equally. In case you haven't realized by now I'm being sarcastic. The Bat Pod was a pod of crap. The Bat Arrow or whatever the hell it was in 1991 was equally as hideous. Go all the way back to 1966, they knew better than to destroy a sweeet ride. I added the extra eee's on purpose. They knew that the Batcycle was a separate entity unto itself and were smart enough not to give it too much screen time. The sidecar disconnected so they could get to the Baycopter faster. I am sure if we got to see Batman 1967 the Batmobile would have become a two seater unicycle or some such stupidity. I look forward to the Next Batman but only to see if the Bat Wing makes an appearance or if they upgrade the Tumbler. In case you were wondering those childish light brights they call Batmobiles in Batman Beyond and batman and robin(no caps on purpose). I consider them the reason they had to reboot the franchise. It doesn't matter who's in the suit if Batman's car sucks so does he.
