where were we...?
thursday, I think it was -
Andersons. Hadn't been there in at least a month, I'm sure. Had a very good time, hung with brittany, greg, most of the time. Danced a little. Was supposed to see Sue who'd just returned from spain that week, but she never showed
friday- a really fucked up day. Just fucked up weird, not fucked up bad. so many litle tasks to do at work, none ove them really got done, and I ended up accidentally overwriting one of my photoshop files, going to have to re-do an image monday. But on the upside, we rearranged the south end of the office, I have a little better space to work in. And we had a happy hour at work, some food and beer, good times.
Then home, watched the matrix on fox while I was waiting for a call to go out. Two strikes there...never got the call, and, the editing on the matrix sucked ass big fucking time. They cut out too many parts - WAY beyond just editing out the expletives, but they cut it for time reasons. I mean good god, the movie is not as long as the 2 and a half hour time slot they gave it - can't you squeeze enough commercials in there without having to cut the movie? It pissed me off so i turned it off and went out by myself anyway.
Went to the Lucky Dragon, wanted to talk to Johnny about what he had in mind for us at his new place. He's opening in June, and is going to have us play for the First Friday in June, part of the Art Walk thingy downtown. AND he'll have us play on tuesdays, starting sometime after that.... I told david once upon a time that it was one of my goals for us to play on a first friday - so this made me happy. We'll have to fill an hour and a half set though - and I totally think we can do it. I know some will sigh or say we can't or not want to at all...but I know we can.
Johnny told me quite a bit about the new place...I'm looking forward to it. He's going to have hookahs....mmm mmm
then I went to the tempe lake park...laying in the grass, then drove and drove, drove towards my house but kept going, to the 101, drove up around the western half of the loop, then back down to my house.....i would have done this all by myself anyway, and was planing on it, but I did it with someone...they were on the phone with me....
Houses today. Nothing great. One that would have been perfect if I was the only one living in it...but not adequate for two people AND the band gear. Another one that looked really good but we couldn't get in, the lock box was freaking out...so hopefully another day. It was small too but they had a detached garage, may be good for the band...
tonight...laundry and getting my mothers day gift together. fun fun.
and something...something...is making me feel bad. for a completely unjustified reason...but it happens, ya know?
