for Torchlight, there is an excellent mod for it that really helps the game have a longer lifespan.

I've been enjoying city of heroes being f2p, though not having access to inventions is kind of annoying. However, I can buy access to them for $2 a month, and since I'm nowhere near the level cap, I don't need access to the incarnate stuff. I do plan to someday make it there though, as it looks like a lot of fun. Which server did you play on?

I don't know if you are interested at all, but I and a bunch of others are having an absolute blast with SWTOR. If you've played/enjoyed other Bioware games, it's got the best of all their games, IMO, mixed into a very well polished MMO environment.

- I have a couple diff mods on TL, and it''s nice that they allow that kind of customization.

- In my heyday, I had multiple characters on all servers, something like 55 different toons. If/when i come back, I'm sure I'll do a major cull of them, but I had at least 12 at top level.

- I grew up as a SW kid, but oddly enough, SWTOR doesn't appeal to me nearly as much as I'd thought it would. Another factor is that even though I know several peopel in it, the three hour ime difference would make it difficult to get any real playtime with them. I dunno, we'll see.

Whoa, 12 at top level? You definitely played more than I did. I think my highest is a ninja blade/ninjutsu stalker at 35.

Ah yes, time zone differences do make it difficult. I remember for a while I was playing WC3 custom maps with someone in Egypt, and it was the oddest hours where our gaming times synced up.

Yeah, I played a LOT. That's part of why I dropped out of it, was that i felt like I'd seen it all and done it all. Now that I've been gone for a couple years, I shouldn't be so burned out on it.

Just got the time to read through some of those bios, nice creative characters you have there :). My favorite of mine thematically is my robot/traps mastermind. The nefarious Cap'n Metal Beard and his crew of robo space pirates.

While some aspects of f2p for it are lame (i really wish, as a previous paying customer, that i had permanent access to the invention system), i do like the rate at which they've been adding content lately, especially new power sets. I went ahead and bought the Titan weapon one, and even at low levels it is so much fun!

City of heroes is an odd game for me, as every time I play it I really enjoy it, but I always forget about it afterwards. Once I get myself started I'll play for hours, but I never seem to remember that it's an option. Probably because no one I know plays anymore.

My old running buds and I made a wiki for ourselves (that link), but i never got around to finishing all my character entries. I loved coming up with backstories for my characters. I also really love the bases that can be built. I used to spend days logged in, working on bases. Check soem of them out here. Now that I'm back in, i need to take control back of a couple of my supergroups.

I plan on buying the new powersets (400 points a ,month for paying players, nice touch!). Right now, I started a new pistol blaster to check out Praetoria. My global handle is @Archmage Chaos.
