SOTU '11
Watching the "State of the Union" address from last night. In a lot of ways, it's the same thing as every other, a lot of promises and hope and vague plans, backed up by rhetoric. At least, for a change, I agree with most of it, and have some high hopes. Plenty of things said that need to be said, plans being made that need to be made. here's hoping.
It's about time we got rid of "No Child Left Behind" and tried something better. It's about damn time we put cash towards better energy sources and stopped subsidizing oil. It was nice to hear him say, loudly, that we need to idealize the winner of the science fair as much as the winner of the Super Bowl, if not more. Now, we just have to make this all happen.
Regardless, rousing speech. I bet the Prez got royally laid, last night.
