Been a crazy week, here. Not that a lot has happened, but crazy, anyway.

Jessica has been sick for a large chunk of it, and it's never fun feeling poorly. Still, we think she'll be over it (or damn near almost) today, so that'll be a nice way to end the week. Thankfully, I have managed to avoid it, so I can spend my time trying to take care of her as best I can.

Thanksgiving was slow for us, as she and I stayed here while the rest of the family gathered elsewhere. Sounds like we made the right call, because between stories of family churlishness (which is typical) and the taste of the leftovers which made it here, we didn't miss anything. Meanwhile, we were going to try and get our own food, but everything was shut down. Seriously, even fast food joints were closed, it was creepy. We scrounged up sammiches and started out own T'giving tradition, watching The House of Yes.

Speaking of family...I'd heard her talk about them for years, obviously, but seeing some of this in person is just insane. it hurts me to see people so self-obsessed and apparently uncaring. I think Jessica is just glad to have someone else see it and confirm that she's not imagining it. I look forward to getting us both out of here. Speaking of which, I really need to get my ass in gear on the job front.

Take it easy out there, willya? I know it's "Black Friday" and all, but try to curb your insanity.
