Last Weekend

It was a great weekend. The weather was awesome and the company was even better. I don't think I would have changed a thing.
Walking with my horse on the trail was interesting. I wasn't sure how I'd feel doing a trail ride exclusively from the ground (some might call that hiking, but when you have 1200 pounds of horse behind or beside you, its far more), but I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. I won't lie and say it was better than riding, but there was a satisfaction and enjoyment that I thought would be there, but didn't fully appreciate until in the moment. Freckles is such a wonderful horse & trail companion (she really shines on the trail), I can see those adventures continuing even if I don't ride.
Breaking in the new trailer was fun. I know Natalie enjoyed it a great deal, and that made my enjoyment even more so. Life is pretty darn good right now.
