Interesting Fundraising Note for Clinton & Obama

Feb 07, 2008 11:32

Apparently Clinton had to "lend" her campaign 5 million before Super Tuesday. That included some of her staff going without pay for a bit. I wonder if she may have been gambling that Super Tuesday was supposed to decide this race? Obviously it didn't since there is less than 100 delegates separating them after 2/5.

On the other front, since 2/5, Obama has raised over 7.5 million (using Clinton's loan as a factor in their email to me, which I wasn't crazy about). That's just amazing to me.

There are 9 primaries coming up to end the month of February, and Obama looks strong in all of them. That would be quite a bit of momentum potentially heading into Texas and Ohio, where Hillary is stronger.

This is going to be an interesting month.
