Things are looking down...

in terms of sizes, I mean :)

I had some very pleasant surprises over the past week. First, I discovered on more than one occasion that I have slimmed down from an almost guaranteed XXL in most shirts and coats to a normal XL and occasional XXL depending on the cut. I'm not sure how much lower that will go with my weight loss due to my barrel chest and wide back (thanks Uncle Bob). There's no getting around genetics. But just getting into a consistent XL will be a very pleasant experience.

On the pants front, it wasn't until I tried to acquire a new pair of sweat pants (its getting might cold here of late) yesterday that I had the pleasant discovery that I was no longer in an XL size but could actually fit quite comfortably into a mere L. That made my day.

In the journey of weight loss and fitness its easy to lose sight of how far you've come, especially if you have a down (or even just flat) week. Not so little queues like these are a wonderful means to inspire even more motivation to keep going.

On a minor note, I'm eating at McDonald's again after a very long hiatus. No, not THAT food. I discovered after some research that their Asian Salad with Grilled Chicken is not only points friendly (just 7 with both the almonds and the low-fat sesame dressing) but the taste is the bomb diggety. Such an amazing concept, food that is good for you and actually tastes good too. Wendy's has a similar salad that I'm going to try as well, thanks to Nat's discovery.
