Strange Bedfellows
Well, today I got up at 08:00, and after a few hours, it actually occurred to me that I could be watching some of all those videos that are piling up on Mother's hard drive. So I did. Since Ms. dream_bender had mentioned it the other day, I decided to watch the HagaRen movie first. Unfortunately, it turned out that it was just a video someone had taken with a camera of the movie playing in the theater. I did have a sneaking suspicion after noting that the word "CAM" was in the filenames, and had I considered more carefully, I probably would have found that I downloaded the files before the movie had been released on home video. I've let this go long enough that it's not likely that I'll be able to find a raw (or even a softsub) at this point. Oh well. . . .
So, instead, I watched BLEACHes 75-77. A comments that doesn't really spoil anything: The new OP and ED, besides being more gangsta (it is originally by Kubotite, after all), seem a bit odd about how much they show of each individual character. For instance, there's a lot about some of the shinigami back in Soul Society, who don't appear to be doing much of anything at the moment. I suppose it's possible that they might start doing something in time, though-after all, by precedent, this ED will be the same for 12-13 BLEACHes, and the OP for 25-26. Would be nice if they would base it on the story arcs rather than the BLEACH numbers, though. I did like the shot of Ms. Shihōin and Ms. Soi-Fong in the ED, though, even if they aren't going to get any actual screentime. I don't know why they paired Ms. (Kurotsuchi) Nemu and Ms. Hinamori, though. . . .
Meanwhile, I completely forgot to watch the extra from MY OTOME disc 3. Oh well, plenty of dead time yet to come. . . .
