A bit more on
this:
House Tharashk Background: When Vernon's and Clara's child, [Human], reached adolescence, she/he and other House heirs of the same age were abandoned in Ship's Towers, as a rite of passage to learn to fend for themselves. [Human] was a sickly child, but was able to survive thanks to the protection of a half-orc relative by the name of [Half-Orc]. [Human] also had the sorcerous blood of Clan Aashta, which was seen by a kobold diviner name Darastrixsauriv. [Human] and her/his fellow student, the goblin Ancev, had a difficult apprenticeship, but the human was able to succeed, again thanks to [Half-Orc], who encouraged her/him and helped with her/his chores. When her/his studies were complete, [Human] took [Half-Orc] and moved back to Underlook in Middle Dura, where they took over Vernon's inquisitive office. They never forgot their roots, though, and still visit Darastrixsauriv occasionally.
Dragonne's Roar Background: [Goblin] was a young mercenary from Darguun who sought employment during the latter years of the Last War. However, after the Treaty of Thronehold, the peace and the influx of now-free warforged made jobs scarce. She/he used her/his House Tharashk contacts to get a job at [Human]'s inquisitive office. Although she/he respects the boss's judgment, she/he always puts in a vote for accepting jobs that involve incriminating or fighting warforged and House Cannith.
Tyrants Background: [Changeling] was born to parents who were members of the Tyrants, and groomed as one of their agents from childhood. When a young [Human] d'Aashta sought to revive her/his inquisitive office's intel contacts (which had been neglected since [Human]'s mother, Clara, had killed the agent who was rumored to be her husband's mistress), [Changeling] was sent to assist her/him. She/he is a low-ranking member of the organization, but still has some access to the information network through a middleman.
