What ever happened to taking pride in your job? I don’t care if you’re a fry cook at a fast food joint, you should have pride in your job! I’m not talking about taking pride in your company or profession… I’m talking about personal pride in what YOU DO! There is a difference between taking personal pride in what you do and pride in your company. Don’t mix those up…two way different things. I’m just sick to death with lousy service, disgruntled people, and just plain bad attitudes. Don’t like what you do…try some soul searching and figure out what you want to do and go after your dream.

Yeah I know…blah, blah, blah…government is keeping down minimum wage, working conditions may not always be the best, the system is corrupt… Deal with it or do something to change it. For fuck sake no one said that life is easy or that you will be handed everything on a silver platter and not have to work for it. Hey stupid, that's why it's called work.

Taking pride in what you do simply means that you are going to do your job to the best of your ability and feel good about what you achieve at the end of the day…if it means you made an old lady smile and say thanks…that means that you have achieved something. Stop rating success in terms of money and start measuring personal achievements…learned something new, created something new, put together a great report, helped someone, get thanked for something or thanking someone for something they did…try it you might find that it makes that shitty job go just a little bit easier.

I don’t have the greatest job in the world but at least I try make the best of it…and at the end of the day I may not be thanked or patted on the back but at least I know that I did my best and I’m proud of what I do.

Just so fucking tired of listening to whiners and people with pissy attitudes...Do you know the fastest way to bring a co-worker down? Bitch constantly about how bad your job is and resolve to fuck it up at every turn.

Can you tell I've had a bad day?
