Grrrr....sometimes I just plain lose faith in people.

To start the week out...on Tuesday Bush "eased the enviromental regulations" on the production of gas. Gee Bush, way to go, lets just see how much we can manage to fuck up the planet before you leave office. You record is a shining example of enviormental go getter...in other words lets go get as much natural resources the planet has to to offer and screw the future

At lunch time walked down to the local natural food store to buy some loose tea. A Lady getting a whole shopping cart of stuff in front of me. Not in a hurry so quitely waiting my turn. The entire time she is complaining to Lelia at the register about the gas prices. She pays for her stuff and leaves. I walk out of the store to find this person loading her stuff in a hugh HUMMER! WTF!!! Hey Lady if you are going to go driving around in a gas guzzling Hummer, which cost as much as some peoples homes than you have no fuckin right to complain about the price of gas!

Grrrr I look around me and more than half of the cars on the road are hugh gas guzzling sports utilities. Why do you need all that car??? My parents raised three kids with one car! Not some hugh station wagon or a sports utility but a normal car. Are you some kinda worker that needs to carry all their tools around in a big truck, no, you are just someone what wants to drive a hugh sports utility. Something that gets 15-20 miles a gallon. If you have really NO reason to be driving around in a big truck than YOU are the problem. Stop wasting the planets resources, get a smaller car, take the bus or try something really radical...WALK. Yeah, those two things at the end of your legs are not just for pretty shoes they have a function, try using them.

Now for those of you who don't know me...Yes, I have a car. It's a Subaru Outback (I live in New England...it has all-wheele drive and I'm scared to drive in the snow). Doesn't get that great of gas milage, 28-32MPG. But I have had it for over 5 years and it has just reached 10,000 miles. Unless it is raining, snowing, blow -10F, or I have an important business meeting out of the office, I walk the 3.5 miles to work every day.

I may not pull my weight in keeping gas prices down or saving the planet but at least I don't drive some gas guzzling HUMMER! I bet this lady in the Hummer also speaks out against the war...wanted to just go over and bitch slap her.

Ok, that is off my chest...still pissed off.

Tara
