Background
Ryan Sullivan MacKenzie Clacher (King, Dark-eyed, Son of the Handsome One, Stonemason) was born on March 20th, 1970 to Kyle Ean and Eilley Siusan (nee MacKenzie) Clacher. Ryan was given the second middle name of MacKenzie after Eilley's father who had died seven days prior to his birth. As her parents had no sons, she wanted her father's name a chance to live on and Kyle consented as he had brothers and did not fear his father's name dying out.
Already seven when his first sibling was born, he was quite accepting of the little sister he found in his life. He learned to become reassuring and touchy-feely, with a healthy dose of listening. He helped two-year old (going on three) Gael accept little Siusan's birth and became her security blanket of sorts. Seeing as she couldn't steal her parents from the newest addition, she stole Ryan's attention for the first few years. At fifteen, he gained his youngest sister Eilley (who everyone refers to at Caoimhe to avoid confusion).
Ryan's teenage years were spent getting fairly good grades in school and being a big brother to his sisters-allowing his parents to have time to themselves. All of his sisters nearly threw one big collective tantrum when he was about to go off to college. He managed to ease their worries by promising to come home at least once a month.
He went to college to learn about teaching and architecture. He learned he had a rather high tolerance for alcohol and with help from rambunctious friends would often garner an extra bit of pocket money by pretending to have never had a drink before. As such he's rather lost any want to drink though he may partake in a beer or a glass of wine now and then. He was able to maintain his above average grade point and stay close to his family while embracing independence.
In 1998, shortly after Gael's twenty-first birthday she fell to her death when a stage trapdoor gave way. The family was devastated, especially Ryan and his parents. Ryan, twenty-eight at the time, took a few months off from teaching to go home and help Siusan and Eilley through the ordeal. (Siusan was 18, in her last year of high school, and Eilley was thirteen, dealing with middle school.) This solidified his bond with his sisters and somewhat with his parents.
Family
Father. Kyle Ean Clacher (Narrow, God is Gracious, Stonemason) born January 5th, 1946 (Capricorn, Rooster). He has two brothers, Tiernan and Aiden. He married Eilley MacKenzie on December 25th, 1969.
Mother. Eilley Siusan MacKenzie (Beautiful Bird, Lily, Son of the Handsome One) born June 23rd, 1951 (Cancer, Rabbit). She has a sister, Catriona. She married Kyle Clacher on December 25th, 1969.
Sister. Gael Kyle Clacher (a Gaelic Person, Narrow, Stonemason) born December 1st, 1977 (Sagittarius, Snake). She died shortly after her twenty-first birthday, December 1998. She had curly brown hair and brown eyes.
Sister. Siusan Avalbane Clacher (Lily, White Orchard, Stonemason) born September 19th, 1980 (Virgo, Monkey). She has straight brown hair and blue eyes. She isn't as close to Ryan as Gael was or Eilley (Caoimhe) is but she is still rather fond of her brother.
Sister. Eilley Caoimhe Clacher (Beautiful Bird, Beautiful, Stonemason) born July 25th, 1985 (Leo, Ox). She has straight blonde hair and blue eyes. She's become rather attached to her brother since Gael's death and is following in her sister's footsteps of wanting to be an actress.
