Hi all,
This is actually my second journal - but as I use the first mostly to talk with friends from RL I felt having a second, separate, space was a much needed, long awaited, change. As I stated in my user info, I would like this journal to be a place to explore topics that interest me - fandom, of course, where I am mostly an avid lurker, but also wider areas.
For example, I've been following the US primaries with great interest. I can't decided which of Obama or Clinton I really want to win. Both have the 'repressed segment of the population' argument, so I think it must instead come down to which is likely to be the better leader - and isn't that a pleasant change in politics! Clinton has greater experience, but that is both a positive and a negative. In the polls it will help her - name recognition being an important factor. However I think that when it comes to doing a good job in office it may also hinder her - she already has a great many complex relations with Washington & the advisers there.
Anyway, I didn't mean to ramble on here, just poke my nose up and say hello, with more to come later.
