He checks to make sure that his room is ready and that no one would be calling for him for the next few minutes. And like that, Merlin disappears and appears at Ariadne's flat.
Ariadne is ready and waiting for him, with a small plain bag slung over her shoulder. She made sure to pick something that wouldn't stand out. Of course she still had her clothes to worry about. She didn't have any dresses that seemed appropriate for the time.
"Good morning, Merlin. I don't suppose you have any appropriate clothes I could borrow when we get to Camelot?"
He only laughs and kisses her cheek. "Well, it took some creativity but I've managed to get you something to borrow for a bit, at least. Though at this rate both Gwen and Arthur are going to think I'm some sort of strange cross dresser or something..." He offers his arm. "Ready?"
And like that, they disappear from her apartment to his little room in Camelot. He holds onto her, knowing how unsteady he was the first few times he did this.
She's more than grateful for the support since she's only worldhopped a handful of times. It didn't take her long to get reoriented though, since is was fairly close to the feeling she got when waking up on a new dream level. She smiles up at Merlin and let's go when she's ready to balance on her own.
"Thanks, I'm sure I'll get used to that...eventually."
"You'll be staying in here. I've...already spoken to Gaius about it." Merlin turns and gathers a bundle in his arms before holding it out to her. "It's nothing too fancy. Gwen said that I could borrow it as long as I don't tear it up." He won't include that Gwen sat him down for a long talk of how he should keep his "habits" a secret as Arthur would be relentless in his teasing.
Ariadne grins a bit, holding back a laugh. She was sure that it had been no easy task to convince his friends into helping him with such strange tasks. She takes the bundle and glances around the area. It certainly wasn't her apartment, but she had been expecting a...modest living arrangement, to say the least.
"So what exactly did you tell Gaius?" If there was a story she should be playing along with, she wanted to know what it was.
"Gaius knows about you. And the community. He's not too happy abut it but he's glad I have people I can talk to and be safe about..you know. He's the court physician. And I've told Gwen that I had someone special come in It's one of those festivals where no one asks a lot of questions just...enjoy themselves."
"Oh! Right. Right. Um..I'll go and let you get settled, then." He gives her a small smile before ducking out of the small room and closing the door firmly behind him.
Ariadne made quick work of hiding her bag away. It wouldn't do either of them any good if someone were to find that. There were too many things that would have stood out in this time.
Then she unfolded the dress borrowed from Gwen. Guinevere. This dress was from Queen Guinevere. Or...at least some version of her. She looked at the dress in awe for a moment. It was simple, and yet compared to the clothes she usually wore, so much more. Snapping out of her musing state, Ariadne quickly slipped out of her own clothes and changed into the dress. She then hid her clothes with her bag, and then went to open the door that Merlin had left through.
When she opened the door, Merlin had been leaning against a table. The sight...took his breath away. Not as nice as the other dress he saw her wear for her graduation but still..."Beautiful." He gives a quick bow and holds out his hand. "My lady. "
Ariadne blushed at the attention, but smiled as she placed her hand in his. Silently she noted that she probably had the sweetest boyfriend in the world. Or worlds, as it were.
"It already started but I said I wanted to wait for you to appear here first." He smiled and held onto her hand. He led her out of Gaius' chambers and through the castle, towards the town where people were already in the throes of celebration. Streamers and flowers and garlands were hung from every which way with people laughing and playing music and dancing everywhere. There was a bit of a sombre note as the Lady Morgana's presence is felt by all.
As the walked along Ariadne's gaze traveled all over the place. There was simply too much to take in all at once. For one thing, she could hardly believe she was really there. Of course, she had made sure to bring her totem along just in case. She couldn't really think of that though as she was enveloped by the festivities.

She looks shyly at the door, implying that this was a task she'd prefer to do in private at the moment.
