finished ms. marvel, it was fairly good. apparently it didn't do well in the ratings. and people think TPTB will take it as a sing not to do any more female lead MCU projects, not as a sign of general superhero/marvel fatigue.
it was at least as good as wandavision (apparently the highest rated MCU show), but not as good as the falcon and the winter solider.
i saw the first episode of the obi-wan SW series. i like it so far. it kind of feels like a western to me. maybe its the desert.
if it was a movie it would star john wayne as an old soldier, now retired, who promises to watch over the son (brandon dewilde) of his late friend (harry carey jr, in flashbacks) from a distance. james stewart is the uncle raising the boy on his farm who doesn't want the kid to grow up and join the army, like his father did.
one day an old acquaintance (robert mitchum) comes to him for help in getting his kidnapped daughter (margaret o'brien) returned. wayne refuses, he's too old, but guilt gets to him and he goes. he gets help at various points by patrick wayne, walter brennan, ward bond & dean martin.
as well as maureen o'hara & yvonne de carlo, widows who were married to brothers and now run their late husbands' general goods store.
jack palance & lee van cleef are the kidnappers. lee marvin is the big bad guy (owner of a mine & large cattle ranch) who wants revenge on john wayne for some wrong done to him/his family.
