1. Do you snack while you read? If so, favorite reading snack?
no food or drinks around reading material or computers.
2. Do you tend to mark your books as you read, or does the idea of writing in books horrify you?
no writing or marking!
3. How do you keep your place while reading a book? Bookmark? Dog-ears? Laying the book flat open?
usually some random envelope or receipt.
4. Fiction, Non-fiction, or both?
i read both. mostly fiction these days.
5. Hardcopy or audiobooks?
hardcopy. i have what someone here on DW once called "mental TV" and i think someone reading the books would interfere with that.
6. Are you a person who tends to read to the end of chapters, or are you able to put a book down at any point?
to the end of a chapter 80-90% of the time. to the end of a paragraph or a page break the rest of the time.
7. If you come across an unfamiliar word, do you stop to look it up right away? Write it down to look it up later? Just try to infer what it means from the rest of the sentence, and keep going?
i try to figure it out. otherwise write it down. what i hate is random non-english words inserted as if we all know what the author is talking about. those should be explained in the foot notes.

a hiss before dying by rita mae brown
9. What is the last book you bought?
the painted queen by elizabth peters. not good, i regret it.
10. Are you the type of person that only reads one book at a time or can read more than one at a time?
one at a time.
11. Do you like re-reading books?
now and then. i'm doing a re-read of the amelia peabody series in between booklender orders.
