before 2012 the biggest buyer of kale was pizza hut, who used it as decoration on their salad bars. 🥗
my dad always got their salad bar in addition to whatever pizza we were getting. he really liked the garbanzo beans (chickpeas) and said it wasn't a salad bar without them. for a time my brother felt the same about bean sprouts. *sigh* it's hard to find a good salad bar these days.
