1) california prisonsare getting yoga, cooking classes, and new landscaping (so the prisoners dont have to look at the fence)...are you kidding me? they are CRIMINALS does this tic anyone else off? their mental health and well being is more importeant than mine?! id like to take yoga but i cant afford it. id love to take a cooking class but can anyone say cost prohibitave? and are you serious... "it is not good for the prosoners mental health to see the fence they are caged in by because it makes them feel trapped" oh just go F%^* yourself prison comittee! they should feel trapped! they commited a CRIME. you sont set a kid in a corner as punish ment and say "now heres a bowl of icecrem and the little mermaid on tv so thay you dont feel like you are being punished" you say "now sit here and think about what you did." goooOOOOOOOODDDDDD!

2) swaps n crafty crafts, i has some.i am helping to host one HP swap the Hogwarts little bit of everything swap that is very time consuming. more so than i thought it would be but only cause i wanna do every class (all of which are optional) one of the classes is to make some slippers with a rune of protaction on them. i really wantes to do this one because ive never made slippers but its due in 2 days and the pattern i downloaded is all jaked up. so ill look for another today. i am also signed up for the knitting and crochet house cup (again every class is optional but they are all projects too) i have yet to even pick a class that i think i can finish something in by the end of the month, when the first round of class assignments are due. has anyone else played in this swap? i am going to do the hogwarts sock kit swap too. this one is more reasonable to do in conjunction with another swap cause most of your items in your swap package can be bought and most of the quizes are just question and answer type dealies not projects.

3) challenges! not in my life but of thecrafty varriety! i the vote is comming in on the twilight crafts challenge "dazzle me" i dont think i ever posted what i made but you can see it here also there was a challenge over at the harry potter crafts yahoo group for christmas ornaments and you can see the snitch ornament i entered in this post.

there is a new challenge over athp_paperpiecingto "pimp your house" you useofenjens harry potter paper piecing patterns and make something to represent your house pride. i really really want to do this one but i havent come up with a truly great idea yet. i am temptes to make another apron, as the last one i made for one of her challenges was kinda lame. see here its down at the bottom #6. weak huh? i just have to figure out how to make an apron blingdow. can i lower it and slap some spinners on it or something. can i get it a grill. woot woot! *throws some gryffindor gang signs*

4) watching tv at work.yup i do. firstly there are 40 tv's blazing right at me. they leave them on 24 hours a day. i cant even imagine how much energy this is wasting. i am woking at a place that sells cable advertising time so they have each tv representing a different channel you can get advertising time on. there is no sound. so i downloaded whatever the thing is that you need to beable to watch stuff on netflix instantly (dont worry i ran this by mike my friend and also the it guy here and he said it was fine) so that i can catch up on Dr who starting with the 9th doctor. anyhow i watched the first episode when he meets rose and started the second (but then the phone starting ringing and duty called) anyhow the funniest thing ever.... in the begining of the second episode rose says "when are we" or something to that effect. and the doctor says "we are in the year 555.apple.26" hahahaha. apple.

5) crochet-a-longs:i am still not done with the stupid lion brand CAL. honestly i just got really bored by doing the same blocks over and over again. i suspect it will be done by christmas next year but i need a break. stupid blanket :0) i actually think the girl running it for lion brand got bored too cause its been months and ive never seen her finished blanket. and she stopped posting to the lion brand blog about it. hahaha. there also were quite a few major sizing problems with the blocks in the pattern so im sure that didnt help. i have more blocks done than this but this is all i have sewn together.

anyhow i am also doing a 2009 BOM CAL (thats 2009 Block of the month crochet along) this will be easier to do i think. i can handle one block a month hahahaha. i think. you can see the yarns i picked for this here

6) oh! and Jane Austen Ballis fast approaching! this is the best news i have gotten all week!!!!! i didnt think i was going to get to go becuase they sold out before i even had a chance to think about getting a ticket. well my friendllightfootgot one but didnt want to go alone. you could turn you ticket in for a refund untill december 31st then you were stuck with it. i was on the wait list (at the topish as the guy assured me) and so she didnt turn in her ticket but i never got a call about getting one. things were looking grim untill i got an email saying there was one ticket and it was first come first serve. i whipped off an email to the lady trying to get rid of her ticket and i got it! yyyaaaaayyyy!she called me to hammer out the details about me paying her and i made a new friend to boot! we were on the phone for an hour! we both quilt (shes in the south bay quilt guild which i almost joined the last time i lived out here and they are having a quilt show soon that im going to) and lived in oklahoma she knows about the sca but does regency instead. there is a live music english country dance (like jane austeny dancing) class right by my house were she plays twice a month. so we will totally meet soon. what are the odds right?! just trying to get a ticket and made a friend hahaha. now ngelinadb just has to stir up a ticket and the three of us girls can primp and drive together. squeeeeeee!

7) i dont think i agree with this. meme

 Your Word is "Fearless"
You see life as your one chance to experience everything, and you just go for it!
You believe the biggest risk is being afraid and missing out on something amazing.

Sometimes your fearlessness means you're daring. You enjoy risky activities.
And sometimes your fearlessness means you're courageous. You're brave enough to do the right thing, even when it's scary.
What's Your Word?

challenges, swaps, crafts, rambling, crochet
