little blue haired lady
OK so after a bit of a debacle with the hair (ie huge clumps of it fell out due to the bleaching that has to happen before you put in a funky color, and the blue wouldnt stick, and i had to recut my bangs myself) i finially got my hair blue. i must say that the Special Effects hair dye is still my favorite. the crappy ass stuff that wouldnt stick even to the bleached hair was Color Fiend brand which was recomended to me by the guy at hot topic because "it doesnt bleed" as much. well yeah duh. it didnt bleed even onto my white towel but it took 4 (count them 4!!!!!) applications to get this much coverage. what people reading this may not know is that funky colors are a mess. you really have to be commited to keep them up. when my hair was pink all over i had to have pink towels, a pink bathing suit, pink pillow cases, because it bleeds if it gets wet, or if you sweat, or if you look at it funny (the bottom of my moms bathtub, or as it shal henceforth be know "the fountainhead of hair oddities" is STILL pink.its been 5 years. sorry mom.) which means that you have to reapply it every two weeks at the least or look like one of those "art" majors in college that could barely manage to get out of their pajamas to go to class. you know the ones (hair should be pink but is now some tye dyed shade of bleach yellow and faded orange with black roots. beeyarg!) i finially found a supplier for the special effects hair color and its on the way as i type. yay! i guess ill wait for this to wash out a bit and then move over to the other brand. here are the color i ordered form them.
im gonna start with the lightest one and move on from there. also i think im gonna have her be a bit more agressive with the bleach next time especially in the bangs. you cant really tell i have any in there at all. all in all for me this is pretty tame.
