I ordered myself a Dell Inspiron 6000. I went back and forth on it, but it won out in the end over an HP (comparable) notebook and a Dell Inspiron 700m (smaller, more mobility). I was on a mobility kick for a while, but I came to my senses and realized that I would be using this for some pretty hefty productivity from time to time (InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, etc.) and so I went back to my (near) desktop replacement.
For you tech heads, I'll try my best to remember the specs. I somehow worked it out with a little help from supercoupon.com that $650 came off the total and left me at $1610.35. Let me know what you think, as always:
- Intel Pentium M 700 (2.13 GHz/2 MB cache/533 MHz
- 15.4 inch UltraSharp WSXGA+ LCD Panel (Does anybody want to remind me what the max resolution is for WSXGA? I've forgotten.)
- 1 GB DDR SDRam, 2 dimensions
- ATI 64 MB Graphics Card
- 60 GB 7200rpm hard drive
- XP Pro, integrated wireless, free 8x CD/DVD burner, and all that other small stuff I'm not going to bother typing.
That is all for now, and goodnight people.
Oh, I almost forgot: Three cheers; I found my STL Cardinals hat at church after nearly three months of missing it!
