So, I always hate it when authors who I'm dying to read the next chapter by stop writing and put up lame excuses why they haven't done it yet... so...

*DEEP KOWTOW*

I'm terribly sorry I haven't posted the next chapter of AMOC yet. I really don't have any excuses, just reasons, which I hope that you'll forgive me for. This is what I was going to put ( Read more... )

Aww there there don't get down. I work part time and I'm stressed of course April and May hasn't been the best time for me either. First time to buy a house sounds scary too me. Everytime I think of handling big time money I break out into a cold sweat. Its actually funny that people are writing to you asking if you've continued AMOC. Its been barely a month and people are already thinking you've given up? I have fanfics that I still check and they haven't updated for nearly four years... Dedicated? You bet I am!!

Anyway gettin off track here, just don't worry what the majority think and pressure you to do. The best work in my opinion comes when nothing is forced and your actually having fun. The thoughts of the fans is just the perks. At least that's how I deal with it when it comes to my art. If someone is like "OMG can you draw this!?" I'm thinking aww man pressure to try and prove myself I hate this!!! So I figure hey writing is art so its the same thing.

Aww your gonna make me blush! But seriously thanks I'm really glad you like it. At first I was thinking, 'What if she's insulted that I went off of her drawing??! I didn't even ask permission!! Nuuu!'

And curse those non-geek coworkers of yours! Its like that at my job though. Being a filing clerk has to be one of the most insane jobs ever. Staring at numbers... for four hours on your feet... just filing. Pure unadulturated agony!! But I don't like being a "starving" artist... literally.

Ohh sounds exciting to go to the grand prix. Though remember us ficcers out there and sprout some kick booty ideas! Yay! :D

omg WORD on the "starving artist" thing, I mean, why do you think I'm an ~architect~?? It's sorta artsy enough to engage my creative skills, and technical enough to really be challenging, and it actually pays $$$.

My dream is to illustrate my own stories. If money was no object then I'd be a full time artist. I don't know if I'd try to create manga, that's like 100% drawing all the time, on top of writing everything too. But manga-ka have assistants to help with all the drawing, in Japan it's like a time-tested system of apprenticing under an established manga-ka to learn the ropes. Not having access to any of that, plus feeling leery about having other people draw stuff and then calling it mine... ehhh... And I actually enjoy writing. I like massaging the words into just the right form, writing when it's going well feels really natural...
