And also because I'm in some degree of trying to control shock response:
I did not leave the house today. School is 6 +/- 3 blocks from where it happened (the crime scene ends 3 blocks from school, the center is ~6 blocks away from school). Thus school, where I was not, is on lockdown. Until 7am, they say. I'd not be surprised if there's increased security for longer. It's closed tomorrow, to have a day of rest and healing. We'll see if there's more than that.
Honestly, I feel really bad for the counselors who have to be there to counsel traumatized people, who are probably also similarly traumatized. Being trained to counsel re:trauma does not mean you don't experience it yourself.
