shadesong posted something that I feel very strongly connected to. This post, to be exact. She does not want you taking pictures of her.
I do not want pictures taken of me. EVER. I also do not want to take pictures of you, EVER. I want pictures to not exist in my paradigm. Except maybe of knitting. But really, if it meant cameras were not a part of my world, I wouldn't even want pictures of knitting.
Do not tag me in pictures. Do not expect me to be in group pictures. Do not expect me to be in FRONT in group pictures. Do not expect me to be ok with pictures.
DO NOT EXPECT ME TO EXPLAIN WHY. The reason WHY is that I DO NOT WANT TO. Period. That's the end of it. I DO NOT WANT.
Unlike 'Song, I'm unlikely to ask you to take down something of me. But I am going to untag myself. I don't have the courage or the willpower to ask you to take it down. So please respect me, and don't put it up in the first place.
